Bresc inspires and facilitates culinary professionals and a prime example of this was our master class on garlic at the Scalda College in Middelburg. The first-year students on the chef’s programme were treated to an inspirational afternoon given by Jeroen de Zwart, our culinary adviser.
Although future chefs soon become acquainted with convenience products, Bresc’s chilled solutions were relatively new to them. The master class began with a presentation about Bresc and the applications for chilled products. The students learnt about the advantages of chilled solutions and a number of products were highlighted: for example, they could sample (literally) the authentic flavours of our chilled garlic and herb specialities. Afterwards, the students were given the opportunity to cook with them. It was obvious that the potential of chilled products was a real eye-opener for both the students and their teachers.
The master class was certainly worth repeating!
